We are pleased to announce that National Government Services, Inc. Audit and Reimbursement department has developed an Excel spreadsheet to assist providers in calculating Hospital Inpatient PPS Medicare payments. This spreadsheet requires a list of provider specific fields to be entered, and consequently calculates the Medicare payment. It contains all of the factors and federal amounts that were included on the Provider Disclosure Statement (PDS). We hope that this spreadsheet will aid your analysis of Medicare payment, as well as supply the formulas that calculate the fields located on the PDS. We expect to update the spreadsheet each time the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) revises the PRICER program, usually on an annual basis in October.
