Provider Education and Training Seminar Schedule Feb. - June 2005 - New York ONLY

INTRODUCTION TO MEDICARE (NO FEE)
This seminar is designed for providers and their staff members who are new to the Part B program. The program features an overview of the Medicare program as well as a coding and claim filing workshop. Emphasis is placed on the completion of the CMS-1500 claim form.

COMPLIANCE/MIP (MEDICARE INTEGRITY PROGRAM) ($45 FEE)
This seminar reviews the OIG Compliance Program Guidelines for individual and small group practices and provides information on how providers can protect their practice and safeguard the Medicare Program.

MEDICARE FUNDAMENTAL CONCEPTS ($60 FEE)
This seminar is intended for providers and their staff who have a basic knowledge of the Part B program. For most specialties this will be your next step after you have attended an Introduction to Medicare seminar. Topics included are: Modifiers, Evaluation & Management Guidelines, General Medical Policy, General Surgery Concepts, Appeals Process.
9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

TOPIC/SPECIALTY ($45 FEE)

This seminar offers education and training to specific Medicare topics (e.g., Evaluation and Management, Modifiers/CCI, CMS-1500 Claims Form Instructions, etc.), or to specific provider specialties (e.g., Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, etc.) Additionally, limited licensed practitioner seminars are offered (e.g., Chiropractor, Psychologist/Social Workers).

MEDICARE CODING CONCEPTS ($45 FEE)

This seminar features an overview on common coding issues, proper use of modifiers and emphasis on Medicare policy revisions including changes in ICD-9CM and CPT changes.
