New Jersey Open Meeting for Local Coverage Determinations In accordance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ directive to include information and opinions from members of the general public as part of the local coverage determination process, Empire Medicare Services will host open, public meetings, at which interested parties may submit scientific, evidence-based information, professional consensus opinions, or other information relevant to the development of Local Coverage Determinations (LCDs). This open forum meeting will take place on:
The draft LCDs that are open to discussion for this meeting will be posted on our Web site after October 9, 2006 at: www.empiremedicare.com. Interested parties are invited to make presentations of information relating to the LCDs on the agenda to the Carrier Medical Directors (CMDs): Eileen M. Moynihan, MD; Salvatore Moffa, MD; and George Costantino, MD. Anyone interested in presenting scientific testimony regarding these LCDs should contact the carrier in writing or by fax to (609) 826-5699. Include your address and fax number, as we will contact you with an appointed time. Please send a brief summary of your presentation, along with scientific/informational sources to the Carrier Medical Director prior to this open meeting.
