Open Meeting for Local Coverage Determinations In accordance with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) directive to include information and opinions from members of the general public as part of the local coverage determination process, National Government Services will host open, public meetings, at which interested parties may submit scientific, evidence-based information, professional consensus opinions or other information relevant to the development of Local Coverage Determinations (LCD). The draft LCDs that are open to discussion for this meeting will be posted on our Web site after January 31, 2007 at: www.empiremedicare.com Interested parties are invited to make presentations of information relating to the LCDs on the agenda to the Carrier Medical Director (CMD), Paul G. Deutsch, M.D. If you plan to participate, please inform Ms. Katherine Dunphy by fax, at (212) 476-7617, in order to facilitate entrance to the building. Please send a brief summary of your presentation, along with scientific/informational sources to the Carrier Medical Director.
