This educational video program provides an overview of preventive services covered by Medicare including the newest preventive services that became effective January 2005 as a result of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act (MMA) of 2003. This program provides information on risk factors associated with various preventable diseases and highlights the importance of prevention, detection, and early treatment of disease. The information presented in this program is useful for physicians, providers, suppliers, and other health care professionals involved in providing preventive services to Medicare beneficiaries.
