An Overview of Medicare Preventive Services Video The Medicare Learning Network is pleased to announce the availability of the latest provider education resource on Medicare’s coverage of preventive benefits, An Overview of Medicare Preventive Services for Physicians, Providers, Suppliers, and Other Health Care Professionals video program. This educational video program provides an overview of preventive services covered by Medicare including the newest preventive services that became effective January 2005 as a result of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act (MMA) of 2003. This program provides information on risk factors associated with various preventable diseases and highlights the importance of prevention, detection, and early treatment of disease. The information presented in this program is useful for physicians, providers, suppliers, and other health care professionals involved in providing preventive services to Medicare beneficiaries. The program runs approximately 75 minutes in length.
