Options for Physicians/Suppliers Affected by Change Request (CR) 4376 As of June 1, 2006, if physicians/suppliers have been receiving both an Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), either directly from their Medicare carrier/DMERC or indirectly from a clearinghouse, billing agent, or other entity representing you, and a Standard Paper Remittance (SPR) from their carrier/DMERC for 45 days or more, they will no longer be mailed an SPR by their carrier/DMERC, in accordance with Change Request (CR) 4376.
