Important News Regarding HIPAA Contingency for Remittance Advice

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced that its contingency plan for the Health Insurance Portability and Account-ability Act (HIPAA)-compliant transaction 835, or Electronic Remittance Advice, will expire on October 1, 2006 .
