Preventive Services Web-Based Training Courses

The updated Medicare Preventive Services Series: Part 1 Adult Immunizations Web-based training course is now available on the Medicare Learning Network (MLN) Product Ordering Page located at http://cms.meridianksi.com/kc/main/kc_frame.asp?kc_ident=kc0001&loc=5 . External Link The course provides information about Medicare coverage for the following adult immunizations:

  • Influenza;
  • Pneumococcal; and
  • Hepatitis B.

CMS has awarded .1 CEU to participants who successfully complete this program.

The updated Medicare Preventive Services Series: Part 2 Women’s Health Web-based training course is now available on the Medicare Learning Network (MLN) Product Ordering Page located at http://cms.meridianksi.com/kc/main/kc_frame.asp?kc_ident=kc0001&loc=5 . External Link

The course provides information about Medicare coverage for the following preventive services:

  • Mammography;
  • Pap test and pelvic exam;
  • Colorectal cancer screening; and
  • Bone mass measurements.

CMS has awarded .2 CEU to participants who successfully complete this program.

The Medicare Preventive Services: Part 3 Expanded Benefits Web-based training course is now available on the Medicare Learning Network (MLN) Product Ordering Page located at http://cms.meridianksi.com/kc/main/kc_frame.asp?kc_ident=kc0001&loc=5 . External Link The course provides information about Medicare coverage for the following preventive services:

  • Initial preventive physical examinations;
  • Diabetes screenings;
  • Cardiovascular disease screenings;
  • Diabetes self-management training;
  • Medical nutrition therapy and other diabetes supplies;
  • Colorectal, prostate, and glaucoma screenings; and
  • Bone mass measurements.

CMS has awarded .2 CEU to participants who successfully complete this program.

The information presented in these Web-based training courses will be helpful for physicians, nurses, medical administrators, and other health care professionals who provide these preventive services and screening to Medicare patients.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has been reviewed and approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 1620 I Street, NW, Suite 615, Washington, DC 20006.
