Incorrect Interest Rate in Demand Letters
This issue impacts Medicare Part B providers in Indiana, Kentucky, and New York.
National Government Services, Inc. has identified an issue with the incorrect interest rate on several overpayment demand letters dated September 1, 2007 through October 19, 2007. Some of the letters indicated an interest accrual rate of 12.375 percent; however, the correct rate should have been 12.625 percent. Please be aware that interest on any open debt is accruing at the correct rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
