Announcing a New Section of the CMS Public Web Site Regarding Medicare Advantage and Part D Plans (PE200703-22)

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announces the launch of the new section on the CMS public Web site to house contract and enrollment data about Medicare Advantage (MA) and Part D plans. The site can be found at: http://www.cms.hhs.gov/MCRAdvPartDEnrolData/ .

This site provides: a) a plan directory, and b) an MA claims processing contact directory. These directories contain basic information about the contract as well as contact information for the plan itself. CMS will update these directories on a monthly basis. Also, CMS is providing this data in three formats: a PDF document sorted by contract name, a PDF document sorted by contract number, and an Excel version.

Please use this information to update your IVRs and to train your customer service representatives (CSR). There will also be an MLN Matters article and job aid issued about this new source of Medicare Advantage information.
