Corrected Zip Code Files for the Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) Bonus Payments

It has come to our attention that some zip codes were left off the files provided for the automated payment of the HPSA bonus. New files have been created and are available on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) mainframe. Carrier, FIs, and shared systems will use these corrected files for processing HPSA bonus payments for 2005.

Critical Access Hospitals and physicians should review the corrected listings on the CMS Web site at www.cms.hhs.gov/providers/bonuspayment for proper claims submission.
