M2 Gateway Migration –Deadline Extended Until February 15, 2007

National Government Services, Inc. has extended the deadline for all current electronic trading partners to migrate to our New Electronic Gateway. The deadline is now scheduled for February 15, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. EST.

In September we notified all of our providers of changes to our Electronic Gateway. National Government Services will be migrating from our current EDI Gateway in our Staten Island, NY location to a consolidated data center located in Shelbyville, KY. National Government Services has purchased a translator known as M2. This move will result in efficiencies to our overall EDI operation. The purpose of this standardization is to be able to process Medicare electronic transactions in a uniform manner within National Government Services and provide you with a greater level of customer service.

The migration of all providers and electronic trading partners began in October 2007 and was originally scheduled to be completed by December 31, 2007. All providers and electronic trading partners must now be migrated by February 15, 2008.

Any Medicare Provider or Electronic Trading Partner who conducts business with National Government Services electronically will be affected by this migration. This includes Electronic claim submission; download of Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), eligibility downloads, etc. If a provider utilizes the services of a billing service or clearinghouse, they will also be affected by this migration.

Legacy Empire M2 Migration Teleconferences

In an effort to assist our providers and trading partners, National Government Services is scheduling a series of Legacy Empire M2 Migration Teleconferences in which you can get answers to your specific EDI questions and will provide you with a better understanding of M2 migration process.

We have schedule the first set of conferences for Thursday, December 20, 2007 and Thursday, December 27, 2007. Each 90 minute session is scheduled for 10:00–11:30 a.m. EST. Additional teleconferences will be scheduled shortly and will be posted to our Web site.
