With the upcoming migration to the Companion Data Services (CDS) Enterprise Data Center (EDC) on 10/26/07, providers will be connecting to the new data center. We are working with all our network service vendors to ensure this connectivity is in place for this migration. An additional requirement for connecting with the EDC is that all access is secured via SSL. This can be accomplished with TN3270 software that is SSL compliant. All of our Part A providers must ensure their TN3270 software meets the SSL requirement. For those providers using the Blue Zone software purchased through IVANS, this software does support SSL encryption. IVANS’ clients will be contacted directly by IVANS as to implementing this feature within the software. VisionShare clients are not impacted as VisionShare currently meets this connectivity requirement. All providers not using IVANS-supplied Blue Zone or VisionShare will be responsible for ensuring their TN3270 software is SSL compliant in order to continue to access the FISS/DDE application on October 29, 2007. Providers who do not have SSL compliant TN3270 software will be unable to access the FISS/DDE application on October 29.
