Instructions for Exiting the Common Working File (CWF) Part A Inquiry Screen It has come to our attention that the FISS/DDE users have not been using the correct process to exit Selection 4, CWF Part A Inquiry. Once the user has reviewed the data requested in Selection 4, the PF1 key will exit the inquiry bring the user back to the menu to key in the HIC# and information for the next patient. Once you have completed your CWF inquiries, then PF3 will exit the user to a blank screen where you need to keydde0 (numeric zero)and press enter to exit. When the user does not follow these steps to exit the CWF, it can cause a system interruption that needs to be resolved by our programming staff. Please refer to page iv in the Introduction section of the Fiscal Intermediary Standard System (FISS) Provider Online Manual for these instructions.
