Improved Local Coverage Determination (LCD) Search You have told us of your frustrations when searching local coverage determinations (LCDs) on our Web site. We are pleased to announce a change that should help. The LCD search that is included on the LCD index pages now defaults to search only final policies. Those providers that wish to search for archived or retired policies must select the radio button that reads “all Policies – Includes Archived & Retired Policies.” Enter your keyword or code into the search box from the appropriate LCD index page. The search results will include only final (current) policies that contain the keyword you entered. If you’d like to see archived and retired policies in your search results, simply click the “All Policies – Includes Archived & Retired Policies” option below the search button.
