Intern and Resident Information System (IRIS) Programs

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has posted two IRIS programs, Version 3.1 of IRISV3 and Version 1.1 of IRISEDV3, with updated files (medical schools codes, residency type codes, and IRISV3 Operating Instructions) to the CMS Web site for downloading at: http://www.cms.hhs.gov/IRIS.

These programs are used by teaching hospitals and the provider community for collecting and reporting information on resident training in hospital and non-hospital settings.
