PS&R Update - ESRD providers The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is in the process of updating the Provider Statistical and Reimbursement (PS&R) reports for the End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) facilities. Updates are necessary to handle claims processing changes in the rate fields effective January 1, 2006. The ESRD claims are being processed and summarized on your remittance statements. However, the claims are being held in the PS&R suspense file awaiting the CMS software release for the ESRD reporting changes. After the CMS software changes are incorporated into the PS&R system, the ESRD claims will be released from the PS&R suspense file and will appear on the summary report. Therefore, the current PS&R reports on the Empire Medicare Services Web site do not reflect any 2006 ESRD activity. Please refer any questions on the PS&R to the email address: psandr@empireblue.com.
