PS&R Release 37.A for ESRD Claims The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released Version 37.A of the Provider Statistical & Reimbursement (PS&R) reporting system on April 16, 2007, which will be implemented on May 22, 2007. Version 37.A includes the release of all End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) claims with paid dates of January 1, 2006 and later that were previously suspended (“hooked”) from the PS&R. All ESRD drugs including EPO paid on a fee schedule will now be reflected on the “OUTPATIENT FEE REIMBURSED REPORT TYPE: 135.” These services are not included in the cost report settlement. In June we will be mailing updated PS&R summary reports to ESRD providers which received an extension to file their cost report. This will include a letter notifying providers of their cost report due date.
