Empire will no longer support the non-HIPAA compliant UB-92 format for the submission of electronic claims. In support of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), UB-92 formatted claims submitted via the following systems will no longer be accepted effective on the following dates:

The following selections will be removed from the OMNIPRO Main Menu:

• Medical Quicklink (Selection 4)
• UB-92/Quicklink (Selection 10)
• New York State Service Center (Selection 11)

Note: Empire Utilities, 837 to UB92 Correction Utiities and Medicare Part A will remain on the OMNIPRO system.

Claims submitted through the above systems must be submitted in the HIPAA complaint X12 837 version 4010A1 format by the effective dates to be processed.
